Ministry of Tourism and Avianca sign an agreement to promote tourism within Ecuador
As part of collaborative actions between the public and private sectors, Yesterday morning, representatives of the Ministry of Tourism and Avianca signed an agreement through which the two entities will support each other to promote internal tourism within Ecuador until December 2017, as part of the Get to Know Better campaign.
Henry Ponce de Leon, Minister of Tourism, pointed out that connectivity is the main ally for the country's tourism development, for which he highlighted the predisposition of the airline executives to join this great task of turning tourism into one of the main non-oil economic activities in the country.
The signing of this agreement will allow the promotion of tourism options and flights to destinations such as Quito, Guayaquil, Manta, Coca and Galapagos, as well as having promotions for each of them at different times of the year. Until the 30 of September, Avianca mobilized a total of 400.830 passengers in domestic destinations and represented an increase in 18% of tourists traveling within Ecuador.
