LATAM Peru inaugurates direct flight between Cusco and Santiago. The airline will operate three direct flights between the two cities with an Airbus A319 aircraft with capacity for 144 passengers, offering more than 45.000 seats per year on this route.
LATAM Airlines Peru flight LA2366 departs from Santiago Arturo Benítez Airport on Tuesdays, Wednesday and Saturday at 15:35 hours, arriving in Cusco at 17:00 hours of the same day. Return flight (LA2367) operates on the same days, starting from Cusco at 08:25 and arriving in Santiago at 13:50 (local time).
In addition to the new Santiago-Cusco route, LATAM Airlines Peru has arrived in Cusco from its hub of Lima from 1999, operating until 25 Daily flights. From Lima, the airline group offers non-stop flights to 17 destinations throughout Peru, as well as 32 cities in Latin America, United States and Europe.
New direct flights from Cusco
The Santiago-Cusco route complements the new LATAM Airlines Peru flights from Cusco to Pisco, Iquitos and Trujillo, that operate seasonally between July and November 2018, allowing passengers to travel directly between the main tourist destinations in Peru without the need for connect via Lima.
- Cusco-Pisco: LATAM will operate two weekly flights from Cusco to Pisco.
- Cusco-Iquitos: LATAM operates three weekly flights between Cusco and Iquitos.
- Cusco-Trujillo: LATAM operates three weekly flights from Cusco to Trujillo.
Total, LATAM will fly to eight destinations from Cusco in 2018, including seasonal services to Pisco, Iquitos and Trujillo, as well as services throughout the year to Lima, Arequipa, Juliaca, Puerto Maldonado and now Santiago.
The international expansion of LATAM
LATAM Airlines Group continues to consolidate its international network and in Latin America, opening in the year 2017, 13 new international routes. For 2018, the group will release a total of 18 new international destinations, some of which have already been inaugurated such as Las Vegas, Roma, Boston. In September, the Sao Paulo-Lisbon route will be inaugurated and in December, the first flight to Tel Aviv.
