We traveled to Lima to see the new boeing cabins 767 from LATAM Airlines in the first aircraft that completed the retrofit process.
Exclusively and thanks to the invitation of the airline, with a group of guests from Chile, Argentina, and obviously Ecuador, we participated in the official inaugural flight of the new interiors of the Boeing fleet 767 that have entered into a process known as retrofit.
Retrofit
This modernization process, update and change of all the interiors of its B767 aircraft has the objective of offering a current and differentiated service to its passengers and also, extend the useful life of this aircraft by putting it at the same level of service as the most modern Boeing 787 and Airbus 350.
This process, which incorporates totally new seats in economy and business class, will be applied to the entire Boeing fleet. 767 operating in Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Brazil.
It will be an investment superior to the $400 million dollars that will be part of the retrofit process to some 200 aircraft of the long and medium short range fleet of the group.
The fleet of 35 aeronaves Boeing 767 will go through this process and the first aircraft to receive the new interiors was the Boeing 767 CC-CXC, msn serial number 36710 and has 11 years since your first flight. It has a setting for 18 passengers in Business and 220 in Economics.

After an analysis process, studies, design and implementation of 3 years, the airline presented its new cabins and the result is as follows:
Business
LATAM's new Premium Business cabin will be gradually introduced to the group's long-haul fleet, including its Boeing aircraft 767 y Boeing 777 current and new Boeing 787-9s and Airbus A350-1000 to be delivered.
Each custom-designed Thompson seat offers more privacy and direct aisle access, as well as configurations for both solo travelers and couples. Seats recline 180° into a full-flat bed, feature state-of-the-art inflight entertainment with a Panasonic personal screen up to 18″ and have ample space for personal items.











Economy
LATAM long-haul aircraft will also have a renewed Economy cabin, giving passengers a new look, greater comfort and a state-of-the-art in-flight entertainment system with a careful selection of content. There will also be more options to enhance the travel experience., including LATAM+ Seats.








Too, In general, changes were made to the plane, such as the incorporation of cappuccino machines and new, more efficient ovens to heat the varied gastronomic menu available on flights of more than 5 airline hours.
