Eastern Airlines announced that, subject to government approval, nonstop service will begin between John F. International Airport. Kennedy of New York (JFK) and the Guayaquil José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport, Ecuador (GYE) the 5 from December to 2019 (estimated date that could extend until 15 of January of 2020).
Still pending the initiation of permit procedures before the Ecuadorian aeronautical authority and already having permission from the DoT – United States Department of Transportation with up to 7 weekly flights, The airline announced the estimated start date of flights to the country, as the first regular international destination in a new attempt to revive this traditional aeronautical brand.

The operation that will be non-stop, will operate on Thursdays and Sundays using a Boeing 767-300ER wide-body aircraft configured with 30 Premium seats and 212 Economy.
Eastern will offer introductory rates to be announced soon along with schedules, and 2 checked bags in addition to hand luggage.
At this point it is important to remember the first scheduled times for this operation.:
- New York – Guayaquil: flight DYA-321 will take off at 11:30 am and land at 17:48 pm.
- Guayaquil – New York: flight DYA-320 will take off at 03:00 am and land at 09:00 am.
