The liquidación de Tame EP ha iniciado y no hay vuelta atrás, at least not within the current scenario. Although everything can change, There is no doubt about the path that the Government of Ecuador has taken regarding the future of what was by decree the aerolíflag line del país.

Son 57 años y algunos meses, hecho que pocas aerolíneas en el mundo han logrado, sostenerse en un entorno tan competitivo y de rápida evolución no es fácil, por lo que realizar un homenaje a Tame EP por estos años que transportó sueños a cada rincón of Ecuador, es importante para este espacio de información berriesáutica.

Así, con el apoyo del historiador Guido Cháturn, repasamos algunas fotos de su archivo personal que nos permitirán recordar sus inicios, evolución y momentos antes de su inicio de liquidación:

Tame Airbus A320 HC-CDZ

    Dear friends, it is very unfortunate that about the PLANE TAME CRASHED ON TUESDAY 20 OF JANUARY OF 1976, When Hawker Siddeley HS-748, registration FAE-683 (HC-AUE). No media tells the truth, they all mention that ” the accident was in the vicinity of Loja”, That is not true, crashed in the Chilla mountain range near the Chilla parishes of the Pasaje canton, Paccha and Guanazan of the canton of Zaruma. ….It was NEVER near Loja, it was in the Andean mountain ranges of El Oro, his route was 215 Km from Loja to Guayaquil……my grandfather and some of his countrymen went on horseback to see the novelty and brought remains of the device…..

    Excellent photographs and subsequent history of the aircraft. Sad to see at least a dozen accidents in 58 years of life; another indicator that testifies to the poor administration that the airline had throughout its existence.

    interesting review, Avros and Twin Otters never belonged to Tame, but they contributed with their flights in their operation of the routes with less demand or with smaller runways.

      Hi, Pablo, I do understand that although they were not part of Tame, even an Avro carried its colors, they operated for Tame, that's why they had HC registration- too, plus your FAE-
