The Emergency Operations Committee Galapagos has updated the entry protocol to the Galapagos Islands for national and foreign tourists.

The Provincial Emergency Operations Committee accepting the recommendations issued by the Minister of Health, who through official letter MSP-2020-1072-M, proposes some guidelines and actions for national and foreign tourists who wish to enter the Galapagos Islands, the general community is informed, that in the session of the day 14 October 2020, Accepting the proposal, the Flight Reopening Protocol was updated in the following items:
- Mandatory Preventive Isolation is eliminated (APO) for all migratory conditions as long as they enter with RT-PCR for detection of COVID-19 of maximum 96 hours of validity from the sample collection prior to entering the Province of Galapagos.
- A negative RT-PCR test will not be a requirement to travel to the Galapagos for CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE under or equal to 17 Years old, in the immigration categories of permanent residents, temporary, passersby and tourists, whether national or foreign.
Institutional responsibilities
- Send a letter to private laboratories stating that they must send a copy of the RT-PCR test result, as a requirement to travel to Galapagos, to the emails indicated by the Government Council of Galapagos.
