The Quito International Airport announced about 10 Closings scheduled during 2026 for maintenance of its landing strip.

Quiport Corporation, dealership of Quito International Airport, inform our passengers, users and citizens in general who, Due to preventive maintenance work on the track, Air operations will be suspended on the following dates:
From the 02:00 until 14:00
- Saturday 11 of April
- Saturdays 9, 16 and 30 of May
- Saturday 6 of June
- Saturdays 5, 12 and 26 of September
- Saturday 3 October
From the 6:00 until 14:00
- Saturday 17 October
Saturdays have been chosen to carry out preventive maintenance work because they are the days when there are fewer air operations.. inside planning, Track closures have not been considered in the months of July and August so as not to affect the high summer season.. These works are essential to guarantee the safety and efficiency of air operations and prevent unforeseen closures due to emergency corrective maintenance..
