Ecuador Customs has ordered the process of being greener to begin, bajo el concepto «Paperless», so from the 19 June all travelers arriving in Ecuador, national or international you will not have to fill out the traditional asset declaration form (FROM), with the exception that those travelers who do bring taxable items with them.

This automatic system validates information available in various immigration systems in Ecuador, where the system will evaluate the traveler's immigration history to determine whether or not he or she may be failing to comply with the country's customs laws..
With these new measures, Customs hopes to reduce by 80% the time required by arriving passengers in the country's international arrivals. In the first stage, the system has been fully implemented in Quito, while in Guayaquil the system and methodology is in the testing stage.
