More than twenty (20) organizations around the world support the III EMLA- Meeting of Women Leaders in Aviation, Latin American and Caribbean edition organized by the International Aviation Womens
Association (IWA) and that will take place 28 February of 2018, in Mexico City. The event will feature the participation of Senator María Cristina Díaz Salazar as Key Note Speaker, as well as various authorities and personalities from Mexico and other countries of the Latin American and Caribbean region.

The forum aims to promote the development of women in the aviation and aerospace industries and motivate new generations of women to join these industries. The bell
#MujeresEnAviación that takes place simultaneously with the dissemination of the EMLA event, aims to highlight the role played by women in leadership positions within the aeronautical industry.
Among the panelists are top representatives of international organizations, IWA, the International Civil Aviation Organization (OACI), the National Chamber of Air Transport of Mexico
(CANAERO), the Mexican Federation of Aerospace Industry (FEMALE), the Civil Air Navigation Services Organization (TIRED), the Latin American Air Transport Association (HIGH), Space
Generation Advisory Council; representatives of Mexican Civil Aviation Authorities, Ecuador, Panama and Argentina, the Mexico City Airport Group; the airline industry, Cargolux, Aeromexico, American Airlines, Air France – KLM – Martinair Cargo; the manufacturing sector, GE, ATR, Boeing, Bombardier, Airbus, MD Helicopters, and representatives from other sectors of the aviation and aerospace industries, such as Aireon, TRU Simulation + Training, SITA, Iridium Communications, CNLE Law, CIMAD/MEETING, Valencia & Sánchez, University of Queretaro, Aviatur Colombia .
The forum will analyze the current situation of the aviation and aerospace industries in Mexico and Latin America and the new technologies in the market that impact them, like artificial intelligence, biometric check-in, Satellite communication, among others. in addition, aspects related to gender equity in these industries and the opportunities and challenges in the recruitment and training of human talent and integration of new generations will be addressed.
