Iberia resumed its regular flights between Madrid and Caracas after a two-year suspension of its flights due to the pandemic. The airline operated until March 2022 special flights and today it recovers its regular connectivity.

Iberia recovers its flights to Caracas

Hand in hand with the release of health restrictions and NOTAMs that allowed regular flights only from certain countries as a measure of the Government of Venezuela to stop the spread of the pandemic, now more airlines are resuming their normal activities in this country.

It is so from the past 30 October 2022 the airline returned to operate regularly to the Maiquetía International Airport that serves the city of Caracas.

Flight itinerary

The airline will have three weekly frequencies on the days (Tuesday, Friday and Sunday) with an offer of 1.926 weekly seats more than the capacity offered before the pandemic.

Flights depart from Madrid Barajas Airport at 11:55am and arrive in Caracas at 16:20pm. The plane returns from Maiquetía Airport at 18:20pm and arrive at 08:00+1am to Madrid Barajas Airport.

The route will be operated by aircraft Airbus A350-900 and will be marketed 28 Premium Economy seats and 293 in Economy Class: the flights scored the A350 will be operating until 9 February 2023 and the 12 of that same month the team is changed by the Airbus A330-200.

With the recovery of the flights to Caracas and Rio de Janeiro that began that same day, Iberia completes its network of routes in the Americas, and Venezuela adds a fourth operator of flights between Spain and Venezuela.
