I invite you to meet the HANAQ International VIP Room Lima airport, one of the two available in this collapsed airport.
In the main air terminal of Peru, I was able to visit on a short layover back to Quito from Buenos Aires and thanks to the invitation of LATAM Airlines, to know what for now is the only room international VIP operating at this airport.
The other, called SUMAQ is undergoing remodeling and expansion so that only one room is available for the thousands of passengers who pass through this collapsed air terminal daily.
VIP Room UPSTAIRS
This VIP room was recently remodeled and reopened in September 2018 and gave a new life to the VIP services of the airport, that until recently were totally outdated and excessively collapsed.
Although it was enlarged, there are still hours when this VIP room collapses and a waiting line forms to enter, especially between the 18 and 21 hours every day, but this is due to the lack of the second room which is expected to be ready in the first quarter of the 2019.
HANAQ is located past the security filters between the departure lounges 17 and 18, entering the hallway to the left at the end of it.
It is equipped with air conditioning, alcohol service although it is limited free to one per passenger, but you can pay more, Disabled access, fax, flight information screens, Internet y WiFi, magazines and newspapers, smoking is not allowed and there is no area for it, refreshments, foods, showers, telephones and television.
There is also an exclusive area for children with video games, toys and coloring paints. It should be noted that access to this room is only allowed until 3 hours before flight departure.
In terms of food, options are limited, but the taste pretty good. there were cookies, nachos, chifles with vegetable and fruit salads and chicken ceviche, which was nothing more than chicken stir fry with rice, so the name was weird to me.
It is a comfortable room, but that at times it can feel small due to the large number of people who pass through there. It is certainly a great improvement to what they were before the remodel.
How to enter the International VIP room HANAQ?
Entry to this VIP lounge can be done as follows:
- Paying income for a value of $80 dollars per person.
- With credit cards that have Priority Pass.
- With credit cards from associated local banks.
- Selected credit cards.
- Invitation by the airlines.
- Passengers with certain mileage accrual categories of each airline.
- Children under 2 year they do not pay income.
