DHL launched its new route to Quito from Panama, route on which it will operate via lime with 6 weekly frequencies.
The 7 March one of the most important parcel and logistics companies in the world inaugurated its regular and itinerary operations in the Quito Mariscal Sucre International Airport, where it will operate with Boeing 737-400F aircraft with capacity for 20 tons of cargo.
On this first flight, that operated under charter modality, the company reported its plans for Ecuador, country where it has been operating for more than 30 years with daily flights between Guayaquil and Panama with DHL Ecuador Trans Am, Ecuadorian airline that operates this route with its ATR42-300F HC-CDX aircraft.
With this new route, Panama – Lima – Quito – Panama, exporters and importers will be able to access the wide range of connections between Panama and Miami, with 6 weekly flights are expected in the medium term, increase the offer on the route with a larger aircraft, which would be the Boeing 757-200 in its cargo version, model that the airline also has at its headquarters in Panama.
The flights will continue under charter mode on 11 of March, while the airline continues with the process of obtaining the regular operating permit.
