The Ecuadorian airline, DHL Ecuador Trans Am Aero Express, has requested to extend its for now, small network of destinations, incorporating several points in South America, Central America and North America.

DHL Ecuador (IATA code: 7T, ICAO code: RTM), currently operates a single route almost daily between Guayaquil and Panama, which operates with its only aircraft ATR42-300 cargo version HC-CDX, serial number 081 and which is propelled by 2 engines 2 x PWC PW120. This aircraft with year of manufacture 1988, has previously operated on Pan Am Express (USA), Trans World Express, Mahalo Air, Inter Canadian (Canada) y Vensecar International (Venezuela) until in the year 2003 arrived in Ecuador to start operations for DHL Ecuador under the operator Trans Am.

ATR42-300 Cabin DHL Ecuador

Currently, and from the 2003, DHL Ecuador is the only cargo airline 100% regular Ecuadorian and the only one to have an aircraft registration HC- exclusive purpose freighter (for a short period between the year 2008 and 2009 operated a Boeing 737-200F of the defunct Icaro under Icaro Cargo).

The ATR42-300F HC-CDX aircraft was the replacement for the Dassault Falcon 20DC HC-BUP aircraft, with which the airline began operations in 1991, of the general history of the airline very little is known.

Trans Am flights operate regularly from Guayaquil to Panama, Where do you operate regularly? 6 times a week from monday to saturday. Flight RTM504 takes off from José Joaquín de Olmedo Airport at 22:15 and land 3 hours later in Tocumen at 01:15 the next day. While the return flight RTM505 takes off from Tuesday to Sunday, taking off from Tocumen International Airport at 03:30 and lands in Guayaquil at 06:25 of the same day.

On this flight to Panama, the airline transports all cargo that DHL offices throughout Ecuador consolidate to Guayaquil, so that later it is transported by DHL Panama to Miami, global freight forwarding center. With his only plane, the airline has made cargo charter flights to Cuenca and Quito when it has been contracted to transport specific cargo.

When DHL Ecuador's ATR42 enters regular scheduled maintenance, usually a boeing 727 of DHL Panama replaces it in its operation.

From the 2003 the airline has not presented variants in its operation and has maintained its operation solid, but apparently DHL Ecuador would start operating to more destinations.

You recently submitted the following request to the CNAC – National Civil Aviation Council:

The request details that the airline plans to fly to 9 times per week from Guayaquil to destinations in South America such as Bogotá and/or Lima, Caracas, Valencia and/or La Paz plus Mexico in North America and with possible connections in San José, San Salvador, Managua and/or Guatemala in Central America with final destination Miami in the United States.

All these flights have the key and/or what does not mean that you will go through all these points, but on certain flights they could do it according to the cargo demand and contracts of the case.

Before this panorama, the doors are opened for a possible incorporation of a new aircraft, be one with greater capacity of the same ATR type or another with greater autonomy such as a Boeing 737 in some load version, since some of the points indicated, would be restricted to the current autonomy of the ATR 42 that DHL Ecuador has.

Update 06/10/2017:

DHL Ecuador has been authorized to modify and expand its operation to the destinations indicated above:

This is the first potential growth of the airline in at least 25 years operating in Ecuador.
