Starting from the third week of December, Wingo will increase its participation and offer in the Ecuadorian market with up to 5 weekly frequencies between Bogotá and Quito.

The airline that started flights in Quito Mariscal Sucre International Airport in december 2016, has managed little by little and with pulse to position its brand in the market and also adds to its soon start of operations with two weekly flights between Bogotá and Guayaquil.

This year has been positive for the airline in the Ecuadorian market and its consolidation proves it., since it will go from the three weekly frequencies with which it began operations in Quito and with up to 4 frequencies in high season, a 4 regular frequencies throughout the year and with a new peak of up to 5 weekly flights in high season.

With this increase the airline will offer 1.136 additional monthly seats between Bogotá and Quito in low season and 2.272 extra seats during high season, being together with Avianca Ecuador, the for now, only operators on this route.

Frequencies

Until the end of August, the operation of the 4 Weekly frequencies will operate on Mondays, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, but starting in September the days of operation will become Mondays, Wednesday, Fridays and Sundays with Boeing airplanes 737-700, that the airline would soon increase its offer even more with the incorporation of this family of aircraft, but from the model -800.

Instead, From the third week of December the airline will increase to 5 weekly frequencies on this route operating on Mondays, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday at the following times:

  • From Bogotá, flight P57035 will take off at 17:10 hours and will land in Quito at 18:58 hours after 1 hour and 48 flight minutes.
  • On the return from Quito, the flight will take off at 19:43 hours and will land in Bogotá at 21:16 minutes after 1 hour and 33 minutes of flight duration.

The additional frequency on Thursdays will have a different schedule than the rest of the days of operation and will be in effect until the third week of January. 2020.

Growth

In addition to the frequencies that increase towards Quito, Wingo will also increase its flights to other destinations, where it will also go to two weekly frequencies from November between Bogotá and Aruba and four weekly frequencies between Bogotá and Cancún.
