The historic Hercules C-130 aircraft continues to break records, now with the most modern version C-130J that surpassed the 2 million flight hours.

Lockheed Martin anunció que la comunidad global de operadores del C-130J ahora llamado «Super Hercules» superó recientemente los 2 million flight hours. These hours were recorded beginning with the first flight of the C-130J on 5 april 1996, until the end of July 2019.

Hercules C-130 version J

The C-130J Super Hercules demonstrates its ability to land in remote and austere conditions. The Hercules tested in operational missions recently exceeded the 2 million flight hours.

Twenty two operators of 18 nations contributed to this achievement, adding hours through multiple missions that include combat, transport, aerial refueling, special operations, medevac (aeromedical evacuation), humanitarian aid, search and rescue, weather reconnaissance, Firefighting and commercial cargo delivery.

Countries with the C-130J military variant that contribute to these flight hours include (in delivery order) to the UK, USA (the US Air Force. UU., Marine Corps and Coast Guard), Australia, Italy, Denmark, Norway, Canada, India, Qatar, Iraq, Oman, Tunisia, Israel, Kuwait, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, France and Bahrain.

Also contributing to this success are flights from Lockheed Martin Flight Operations, whose crews are the first to fly each C-130J produced before delivery.

The United States maintains the largest C-130J fleet in the world., with Super Hercules flown by the Air Mobility Command, air combat command, the Air Education and Training Command, the Special Operations Command and Reserve units of the Air National Guard and Air Force. What's more, Defense Contract Management Agency teams support C-130J test flights at Lockheed Martin's Marietta construction site, Georgia, headquarters of C-130 production.

The C-130J Super Hercules is the current production model of the legendary C-130 Hercules aircraft that also still operates in many countries around the world including Ecuador (version L-100), which incorporates endless improvements in both performance, aerodynamics and technology.

are more than 400 C-130J that have been delivered to 21 operators, with 17 different different variants adjusted to specific missions of the operators in 18 countries.
