Based on the request made to the National Civil Aviation Council of Ecuador – CNAC by the company incorporated in Ecuador, LATINX AIR S.A.S, we can learn about GlobalX plans in the country.
Last 1 april 2022, LATINX AIR (that its foreign-invested shareholders include Global Crossing Airlines – GlobalX), requested the granting of an operating permit to operate the air transport service, public, international, non-regular cargo in the charter mode, to operate in the following regions:
- North: United States of America, United States of Mexico; Center: Costa Rica Republic, Republic of El Salvador, Republic of Guatemala, Republic of Panama;
- Caribe: Curacao, Aruba, Dominican Republic;
- On: Republic of Colombia, Republic of Peru, the Republic of Chile, Federative Republic of Brazil, Argentinian republic, Republic of Paraguay, Eastern Republic of Uruguay, Plurinational State of Bolivia.
Regarding the fleet that would be used by this subsidiary or new airline, are the Airbus A319 aircraft, A320 and A321, same type of fleet that GlobalX uses for its operation in USA.
The airline's operations and maintenance base will be located in the Quito Mariscal Sucre International Airport.
