Aeromexico made the first flight in its history to Russia, thanks to the trust provided by DHL Global Forwarding to complete a freight charter operation.
The Aeroméxico flight started last 8 March from Mexico City with a stopover in Madrid, Spain and landed on 9 March at Moscow Sheremetyevo International Airport in Russia. Once the cargo is deposited, the plane Boeing 787 Dreamliner departed for Mexico City with a stopover in the Spanish capital and landed back at 12:35 hours.
The round trip consisted of a total of more than 32 flight hours and almost 25 thousand kilometers traveled with a total crew of nine pilots.
with this flight, in the last 12 months Aeroméxico has landed for the first time with its Dreamliner aircraft in 20 airports of 14 countries, being the following:
- Belo Horizonte, Cabo Frio, Cali, Fortaleza, frankfurt, Guatemala, Guayaquil, Hong Kong, Kingston, Moscow, Panama, Porto Alegre, Quito, Santo Domingo, Saint Joseph, San Pedro Sula, San Salvador, Shenzhen, Winnipeg y Wuhan.
Since the beginning of the pandemic and to date, Aeroméxico Cargo has transported more than 6,400 tons through 325 charter operations for the transfer of medical supplies and other merchandise to Mexico and other 16 countries.
