Wingo announces that, starting next 7 of September, will reactivate its operations towards the Simón Bolívar International Airport from Maiquetia, after the announcement of its reopening by the Venezuelan authorities.
The airline will resume its operation between Bogota and Caracas with seven weekly frequencies, equivalent to a daily flight, and between Medellin and Caracas with three frequencies per week.
Wingo reactivates flight to Caracas
This reactivation will complement the operation that Wingo has maintained between Bogota and Valencia, route that began operations last 3 July and will continue with three weekly frequencies. This connection allowed the airline to maintain an alternative connectivity between Colombia and Venezuela during the period in which operations towards Maiquetía were suspended.
In this way, Wingo will have a network of three direct routes between Colombia and Venezuela: Bogotá–Caracas, Medellín–Caracas and Bogotá–Valencia, for a total of 13 weekly frequencies. This schedule represents about 80 thousand chairs available in both directions between the 7 September and the closing of 2026.
