The airline Wingo strengthens its connectivity for high season with five new routes and more than 700.000 projected travelers.

Wingo prepares for one of the busiest seasons of the year. Between June and July 2026, The airline plans to mobilize more 703.000 passengers on its network of domestic and international routes, figure that represents a growth close to 15% facing the mid-year peak season of 2025.

Of the projected total, more of 492.000 passengers will move in their 16 domestic routes, while more than 211.000 travelers will do it in their 27 international routes. With these figures, The mid-year season is consolidated as one of the key periods for tourism, leisure trips and connectivity between regions.

Wingo will have new routes

During this season, the domestic routes on which Wingo plans to mobilize the greatest number of passengers will be Bogota–Medellín, Bogotá–Cali and Bogotá–Cartagena, corridors that remain some of the most relevant within the airline's national network.

In the international segment, The destinations with the greatest projection of passengers will be Bogotá–Punta Cana, Bogotá–Caracas and Aruba–Medellín, reflecting travelers' interest in sun and beach destinations, as well as by markets with high demand for regional connectivity.

Five new routes to enjoy during the high season

The mid-year season will also be marked by the entry into operation of five new airline routes. Wingo, that will expand direct connectivity options for travelers in Colombia and the region.

From Bucaramanga, Wingo will start the 17 June the operation of the Bucaramanga–Aruba route, a seasonal international connection that will allow travelers from Santander to fly directly to the island, with two weekly frequencies, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

This new international route adds to the direct domestic connectivity that Wingo already activated from Bucaramanga to Medellín, Cartagena and Barranquilla, routes that began operation in March 2026 and that travelers will be able to take advantage of during this high season to connect Santander with more national destinations. These three routes operate with three weekly frequencies each and are part of the growth of Bucaramanga as a key city within the airline's network..

For his part, Medellin will also have new international options during this season. The 23 In June, operation of the Medellín–Montego Bay route will begin, with which Wingo will be the only airline to directly connect Antioquia with Jamaica. What's more, the 25 In June the Medellín–Guatemala route will enter into operation, expanding the international offer from the airport José María Córdova. Both routes will have three weekly frequencies, Tuesdays, thursday and saturday.

Added to these new features is the new Barranquilla route.Aruba, which will begin operation on 9 of July, with two weekly frequencies, on Thursdays and Sundays, strengthening the international connectivity of the Colombian Caribbean.

Subsequently, the 14 of July, Wingo will begin the Bogotá–Valencia route, as part of the reactivation of its connectivity with Venezuela. This route will have three weekly frequencies, Tuesdays, thursday and sunday.

With these projections and new routes, Wingo continues to consolidate its presence in the Colombian and regional market, promoting more accessible connectivity for travelers and contributing to the dynamism of tourism during one of the most important seasons of the year.
