- Fill out a registration form.
- If they meet the requirements, recibir una invitación personalizada de IATA para crear su cuenta en la app y vincular su pasaporte.
- Book an appointment at one of the laboratories or collaborating centers to perform your COVID-19 test.
- After receiving the results of said test, IATA confirmará que los clientes cumplen con todos los requisitos documentales sanitarios exigidos en su lugar de destino.
- Finally, en el aeropuerto solo tendrán que mostrar el mensaje de confirmación de IATA Travel Pass «OK para viajar», lo que mejorará su experiencia de viaje pues evita tener que llevar esta documentación en papel. Los clientes tendrán que aportar el resto de documentación (DAYS, passport, targeted…) to be able to travel.
¿Qué es el IATA Travel Pass?
IATA Travel Pass es una solución global que incorpora varias funcionalidades:
- World registry of health requirements: permite a los pasajeros encontrar información precisa sobre su viaje y las pruebas COVID-19 requeridas.
- Collaborating laboratories and test centers: allows passengers to access the list of collaborating laboratories and testing centers in their place of origin to book an appointment.
- Certificados de pruebas y vacunación: permite a los laboratorios y centros de pruebas colaboradores compartir de forma segura los certificados de pruebas COVID-19 y/o de vacunación.
- App for passengers: recopila y verifica en una única aplicación los certificados de las pruebas COVID-19 y/o de vacunación para que el cliente pueda mostrarla en el aeropuerto bridándole una experiencia más segura y sin contacto.

Forgive my use of English (my reading Spanish is fine, my written Spanish is not).
I note that IB includes the step to Book an appointment at one of the laboratories or collaborating centers to perform your COVID-19 test. Are there labs/centers already established in Latin American destinations? It sounds great to have a Travel Pass app – but how do you actually get the test/result arranged and proven to be available to meet entry requirements (e.g. US needs <72 hours). US Airlines have completely failed to provide this – leaving it to major resorts to manage this for their high-end US tourists.
Hi Andrew, dont worry, English is fine. I totally get your point and as far I understand, the IATA Travel Pass, for now, will only work one way e.g: Madrid to Lima, not the other way.
