The Ecuadorian airline LATAM Ecuador goes for more flights between the cities of Quito and Manta, hopes to duplicate its current operation.
With a new procedure entered in the General Directorate of Civil Aviation of Ecuador – DGAC, the airline seeks to increase its presence in the Eloy Alfaro International Airport from Manta, where today it already operates with 7 weekly flights.
Ecuador advances in the recovery of air traffic and the domestic market is not being left behind, despite a slower-than-expected start, Travelers are returning to the country's airports and this is reflected in the increase in frequencies and new routes that the three Ecuadorian domestic airlines have presented.
A few weeks ago we saw the increase in flights from Airregional to Store, the announcement of new LATAM flights to this same destination and the inauguration of flights Avianca to Cuenca, now we see how Manta takes a greater role.
More LATAM flights to Manta
Both Avianca and LATAM are operating with a daily flight between Quito and Manta, but LATAM Ecuador wants to go further and has requested more frequencies be assigned to its current operating permit.
It is so that with the 4 November 2021, LATAM Ecuador requests an increase in its frequencies from the current seven (7) to total fourteen (14) frequencies on the Manta route:
- Quito – Manta – Quito with up to fourteen weekly frequencies.
these flights, once the increase is authorized and the airline commercially decides the start of the new frequencies, will operate with Airbus A319 aircraft with capacity for 144 passengers.
