The American airline Spirit Airlines announced the implementation of new rate families with better service and benefits according to each one of them.
Spirit Airlines is redefining low-cost travel with new, great-value options that allow passengers to choose a quality experience at an affordable price. The airline presents new offers, including premium selections, as part of a major transformation that offers an even friendlier travel experience, comfortable and economical. Spirit will begin offering reservations for its new travel options starting on 16 August and will launch a completely revamped passenger experience on 27 august 2024.
New benefits and rates at Spirit

New travel options, all with exceptional value
At a historic moment for low-cost travel, Spirit will offer its customers the option to choose a premium experience at an unbeatable price. New premium experience will complement additional options, ranging from comfort and moderate to economical, to meet the needs of all travelers. The four new travel options include: Go Big, Go Comfy, Go Savvy y Go. These four options to travel big, travel comfortably, travel smart, simply, to travel, include the flexibility of not having to pay change or cancellation fees.
- Go Big offers the best value for your money when traveling. Includes a Big Front Seat®, light snacks and drinks, including alcoholic beverages, a hand luggage, a checked baggage, priority in the passenger check-in and boarding process and internet access through the fastest Wi-Fi network of any US-based airline. UU. El Big Front Seat®, or large front seat, offers greater comfort with wider seats, more padded, with more legroom and with the center seat unoccupied. Go Big will be available to book and fly from 16 of August. Will include light snacks, drinks and priority passenger registration from 27 of August.
- Go Comfy is a new seating option that offers greater comfort and more space with the center seat unoccupied, a hand luggage, a checked baggage, priority boarding, a light snack and a non-alcoholic drink. Go Comfy will be available for reservations starting 16 August and can be enjoyed from 27 of August.
- Go Savvy offers the choice between a carry-on or checked bag and standard seat selection during booking. Go Savvy will be available to pre-order and try starting 16 of August.
- Go offers the cheapest option for those who prefer to keep things simple. You have the flexibility to purchase any of the following options: checked luggage, standard seat selection, wifi, light snacks and drinks. Go can be pre-ordered and tested from 16 of August.
Designation of a priority passenger registration
Spirit to debut priority passenger check-in starting 27 August for customers who opt for Go Big, are Free Spirit® Gold members or have the Free Spirit World Elite Mastercard, available in more than 20 airports, including Atlanta (ATL), Cancún (WITH A), Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), Detroit (DTW), Fort Lauderdale (FLL), Houston (IAH), Las Vegas (THE), The Angels (LAX), Newark (EEA), New York-LaGuardia (LGA) and Orlando (MCO). This dedicated line will provide direct access to the first available ticket counter so customers can check in quickly.
An improved boarding experience
Passengers will benefit from a smoother process with Spirit's new boarding experience beginning on 27 of August. This redesigned process will include five groups whose goal is to reduce boarding time and improve operational performance. Priority boarding will be available for customers who choose the Go Big and Go Comfy options, Free Spirit Gold and Silver members, Free Spirit World Elite Mastercard cardholders and active members of the US military USA, as well as their spouses and children when traveling with the service member.
Previously, Spirit also announced new passenger benefits that add value and provide the best flexibility in the industry:
- No change or cancellation fees for all customers
- Increase in the permitted weight of checked baggage to 50 pounds
- Extension of the expiration date of future travel coupons to 12 months (for coupons issued from 3 June 2024).
