For this winter season in the northern hemisphere, United Airlines will have the largest offer of flights from Chicago toward Latin America.

United's growth continues in the region, also driven by new opportunities that have arisen in the market due to the reduction in demand for some routes in North America. In this context, The airline announced new routes and frequencies from its main operations hub: O'Hare International Airport.

Record United flights from Chicago

United will have its busiest flight season since Chicago to vacation destinations in Latin America and the world. Starting in October, the airline has scheduled up to 592 daily flights from its hub O’Hare, surpassing any other season of the year. As part of this season United will expand its service to several destinations in Mexico, Latin America and the Caribbean, including:

  • Cozumel, Mexico (CZM): Extended weekend service in November
  • San Jose del Cabo, Mexico (SJD): Additional weekend service in October
  • Liberia, Costa Rica (LIR): Expanded weekend service in October
  • Guatemala city, Guatemala (CAVE): Additional weekend service in October
  • Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (PUJ): Additional weekend service in October
  • San Martin (SXM): Expansion of weekend service in November

What's more, the airline will add 50 additional flights this November from Chicago, with service to destinations like Phoenix, Austin y Orlando. United will fly to Florida with 10% more seats than at the same time last year.

United's growth this fall continues a historic summer season in Chicago, where the airline will fly with more seats from O'Hare than in the last 20 years. In July, United will fly a maximum of 71,000 daily seats.

This network expansion comes preceded by significant investments in the airport experience and in-flight products at United's operations center in its headquarters city.. this spring, the airline inaugurated its renovated and expanded United Polaris® lounge, That is now 50% larger.
