Avianca, with the arrival of this A320neo, strengthens the short and medium range fleet by offering its customers a renewed experience with the cabin Airspace.
Avianca — airline part of Open Group beside GOAL and strategic investment in Wamos Air — announced the arrival of the first plane Airbus A320neo which is part of the order of 138 units of this model announced by the Group.

This aircraft will strengthen the narrow cabin fleet of Avianca, which now amounts to 135 aircraft and is intended to operate short and medium range routes. Added to them are more than 15 wide-body aircraft that serve long-haul flights and 9 freighters.

This new A320neo will offer customers Avianca a renewed experience thanks to the experience provided by the new Airspace cabin from Airbus.
This design includes XL overhead compartments that provide up to 60% more space for hand luggage compared to current cabins and dynamic LED lighting that adapts to each phase of the flight. What's more, It is equipped with three rows of Premium seats, in two per side format, which has been developed by Recaro exclusively for Avianca and which represents a unique product in the region.
Notably, in addition to comfort, the A320neo offers a significant reduction in fuel consumption and emissions, combining maximum operational efficiency with a high quality travel standard.
This first aircraft is part of the robust fleet plan announced by the Abra Group, which includes 138 Airbus A320neo y 96 Boeing 737 MAX, in addition to five Airbus A350 and up to seven Airbus A330neo, that will allow us to strengthen the route network of the airlines and the Group.
