Mike Pence, Vice President of the United States will arrive in Ecuador in a Boeing C-32 when he begins his visit to Quito It is 27 June 2018 within his third tour of Latin America. Photo thanks to Sam Meyer.
During his tour that will begin in Brazil on 26 of June, where to others of Quito, will also visit Honduras between 27 and 28 of the same month, the VP of the United States will travel on the legendary Boeing C-32 aircraft, known as Air Force Two.
Despite the fact that due to security issues, the exact hours at which it will land in Brazil are still unknown., where you will also go to Manaus before Quito, Ecuador and Honduras, if we can know that the plane you will use is the military version of the classic Boeing 757 of passengers and cargo that we know commercially.
The time of arrival in Ecuador will be known a few hours before, but in the meantime it is interesting to know more about this plane, that is very special.
Boeing C-32
As already stated, this plane is the military version of the Boeing 757, which is the plane most used or assigned for the transfer of the Vice President of the United States and his entourage. On some occasions the VP also uses the Boeing VC-25A "Air Force One" which is the military version of the Boeing 747.
The C-32 is born in 1996 once the United States awards the contract to Boeing as the extended-range version of the B757-200 as a replacement for the Boeing VC-137 (Boeing 707 military) along with the C-37A (Gulfstream V military).
since then, they have been developed 2 version, the C-32A, which is the one used by the Vice President with 4 aircraft similar in flight capability and there are 2 more aircraft of the C-32B version which do not have a VIP configuration and have a capacity for 48 passengers.
The C-32A has special capabilities and configurations. This model has a system for refueling in the air and also with additional fuel tanks that allow its autonomy to be extended up to 6.000 miles and has blended winglets that increase range and decrease fuel consumption, the record for a Boeing 757.
Thanks to your changes, this aircraft is perfect for operating on complex or small runways where the VC-25A would be very large and difficult to operate.
Externally, the plane is identical to the commercial model, but its main differentiating features are inside. VIP configuration divided into 4 sections, advanced cockpit avionics with TCAS systems, EGEPWS, Windshear predictive system, FMS, Data Link Comms, ADS-B and other components that are highly confidential.
It also has satellite communication and Internet that allow its exclusive passengers to maintain permanent communication with land in case of need for decision-making and emergencies..
Because of the age of this plane, The United States Government has initiated studies to find a replacement for this aircraft with an investment of $8 millions of dollars.

Too, for the visit of Mike Pence, other USAF planes have arrived in Quito, as a Boeing C-17 Globemaster III y a Boeing C-40 Clipper, surely more planes will arrive with retinues and advanced equipment.
Without a doubt an amazing visitor in Ecuador, but it will be very difficult to photograph it due to the strong security measures normal with this type of visit.
