Avianca Ecuador announced that it increases flights between Quito and Guayaquil and at the same time confirms the schedules and frequencies to Lago Agrio.
Within the framework of the celebration of the 100 years of uninterrupted operation of Avianca, The airline announced that it will start operations on the Quito-Lago Agrio route with three weekly frequencies starting next 1 of July (news that we had previously anticipated), prior government approval.
This decision is also in line with the transformation plan Avianca 2021 with which the company seeks to strengthen its network of routes to the different markets it reaches.
“The operation we have in Ecuador is very important. Particularly in the domestic market we are the leaders in routes such as Galapagos, Blanket and Coke. We close the 2019 with a market share of 33% and this year we see very interesting operating opportunities in the country. The first decisions we are making are to open operations to Lago Agrio and increase frequencies on the Quito-Guayaquil route”, commented Nissim Jabiles, Director General of Avianca for Brazil, Ecuador and Peru.
More flights between Quito and Guayaquil
Likewise, the airline reported that starting next 29 In March, flights between Quito and Guayaquil will increase, with which the airline will offer a total of 28 weekly frequencies, thus providing greater connection alternatives for passengers.
Currently, within Ecuador Avianca flies to Quito, Guayaquil, Manta, The Coca, Baltra and San Cristobal.
Schedules and frequencies to Lago Agrio

| ROUTE | FLIGHT | DEPARTURE TIME | ARRIVAL TIME | FREQUENCIES |
| Quito-Lago Agrio* | OF | 08:30 | 09:10 | Monday, Wednesday and Friday |
| Lago Agrio-Quito * | OF | 10:10 | 10:50 | Monday, Wednesday and Friday |
*Operation of the route subject to government approval.

Excellent, Lago Agrio has a relatively large airport for being in the Ecuadorian Amazon, with taxiway and capacity to receive medium-sized aircraft up to an Airbus A321 or Boeing 737-900 or even larger for being at a low height in relation to sea level. Before AeroGal operated this route and I am very happy that AVIANCA Ecuador does it with the same Airbus A319/A320 aircraft.
It's good that the frequency of trips increases, in the same way that considerable prices have been paid to the people
I think it is excellent news and we hope that the prices adjust to the public.
Will they be to Guayaquil? 28 weekly frequencies with increasing? I'm sure there will be more, because now we have more than 28 with AV between UIO and GYE. Regards and in advance, Happy Birthday!
