In this installment we review what are the requirements from entrance to Spain for passengers arriving by air.

In case of doubts and inquiries, In this post I will clarify what are the entry requirements by air to Spain, but above all, who can do it.

With the restrictions in force by the block of the European Union, which restrict and define which countries or nationalities can enter their territory, new country-specific requirements have been implemented, as is the case of Spain.

In the new official publication of the requirements for entry by air to Spain in force from the 23 November 2020 the following information is highlighted:

• Take the PDIA test (Diagnostic Test for Active Infection), para SARS-Cov-2, with negative result performed 72 hours before arrival in the country.
• PDIA test result, It can be presented in paper or electronic format in Spanish or English.
• Other rapid diagnostic tests such as ELISA, CLIA or ECLIA will not be accepted.
• These measures will be applied to international passengers whose final destination is Spain and not international passengers in transit.
• Only passengers who meet this requirement may travel to Spain.
