Hello Dear Nicholas, I have a flight as a final destination to the country Chile, with a transit of one hour waiting doing it at the Panama airport, and to enter Chile they only ask me for my identity document (identification card) from Ecuador, It should be noted that I do not have a passport., I will have problems regarding Panama? Thank you
As long as you do not leave the international connection zone, there is no problem., but I always recommend having your passport in case of any eventuality..
Hi Nicolas,
Thank you for all the info,
I have a question, I am Colombian, I live in Brasil, I can stop in Panama for an hour, only with the Colombian citizenship card?
Hi Claudia, I understand that there would be no problem since you do not perform migration, it's only in transit. In any case, try to ask at the Consulate.
Nicolas a question. If I travel from Bogota to Cancun and make a two-hour stopover in Panama, they also require me
Proof ? Thanks
Not Diana, it is not a requirement.
If I go in transit to the US with a stop in Panama 12 hours, I can leave the airport to the city without a visa problem? Is there a cost to leave the airport and re-enter??
You would not be able to leave unless you meet the updated requirements. If you leave there is no cost to re-enter.
Thank you Nicholas, It's not clear to me about "unless you meet the updated requirements"
I'm going with a PCR test, I'm Colombian, no visa needed, to go to panama.
My specific question is that I will be 12 hours at that airport, And if there is any prohibition on leaving the airport for being in transit?, or if failing that, I leave with my suitcase, I go around the city and I check in with my airline and I leave for the United States.. that is the specific question.
This is the updated information for Panama: https://www.nlarenas.com/2021/02/requisitos-ingreso-via-aerea-panama/
