This year American Airlines continues its commitment to Ecuador, introducing the boeing 787-8 a Quito. this aircraft, introduced to Guayaquil in December 2020, will start operating in Quito on 2 of April.
«American has a commitment of more than three decades to Ecuador and we continue to bet on this key market with the operation of our Boeing 787-8, increasing our capacity significantly in Quito and Guayaquil”, said Omar Notaro, Director of Operations for American in Ecuador and Colombia.
“We are very excited about the addition of the Boeing 787-8 to our operation in Quito and Guayaquil, providing our clients with a superior travel experience with greater comforts and the most advanced technology in the industry”, added Edwin Rincon, Commercial Manager of American in Ecuador and Colombia.
Currently, American is operating two daily flights from Quito (UIO) to your hub in Miami (MY) with the Boeing 737 MAX, offering the ability to 172 seating. The 2 of April, American introduce el Boeing 787-8 To Quito, operating one of its two daily flights with this aircraft, offering the ability to 234 seating.
in december 2020, American introduced the Boeing 787-8 to the Ecuadorian market, with a daily flight between Guayaquil (GYE) and Miami. Today the airline has two daily flights from GYE to MIA, operated with Boeing 787-8 y Boeing 737 MAX.
Regarding the increase in the third daily frequency, this is subject to government approval and reassignment of the Dallas route (DFW) to Quito and Guayaquil so that they are operated from Miami.

From Europe I hope Air France returns with its Boeing 787-9, just as Air Europa does today with the Boeing 787-8 and 9.
