This summer, American Airlines announced that it will offer more than 150 new routes in its network of destinations, both domestic and international.

In addition to the flights that are on sale now, American Airlines will introduce 17 new routes available for sale from 19 of April, including daily flights between Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina (RDU) y Nashville, Tennessee (BNA).
Based on current customer demand projections, American intends to operate a schedule with national capacity almost equal to 2019. - Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina (RDU)
And for customers who live in South Florida and want to travel to the West Coast or Northeast, airline is launching widebody service from Miami (MY) to the Angels (LAX) and new york (JFK). All flights will operate with Boeing 777 this summer to meet increased demand.
Nature is also high on travelers' lists, and customers can expect more flight options to places like Asheville, North Carolina (AVL); Kalispell, Montana (FCA); y Jackson, Wyoming (JAC), which are now available for purchase. And in addition to the nine previously announced new routes from Austin, Texas (THE END), From May, American to introduce new Saturday flights between AUS and Nassau, Bahamas (NAS).
International routes
As international demand has been slow to recover, American's international capacity will be reduced by approximately one 20% compared to the same period in 2019. The airline remains committed to serving as many international destinations as possible and will continue to offer more flights to more destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean than any other airline.
American is using wide-body aircraft to meet MIA demand; Thus, short-haul markets in Latin America and the Caribbean will see select flights operating with Boeing 777 and 787-8 this summer:

The airline will also serve Colombia more than ever with newly announced service from JFK to Cali (CLO), Bogota (BOG) and Medellin (MDE) that will be launched on 6 of May. Customers will also have greater access to Ecuador and Peru with even more capacity than in 2019. And starting this summer, American will be the only US airline serving Tel Aviv (TLV) y Surinam (PBM) from your MIA center.
What's more, the airline is working with JetBlue to introduce new US service between JFK and Athens (ATH) and TLV. Nevertheless, due to the effects of the pandemic and the resulting weak demand, American will not operate in Edinburgh, United Kingdom (EDI), Shannon, Ireland (SNN) y Hong Kong (HKG) this summer. American will continue to serve these markets through London Heathrow (LHR) y Dublin (DUB), through American's Atlantic Joint Business partners, British Airways y Aer Lingus.
