By provision of the National COE, all passengers arriving with origin or stopover in Brazil must do mandatory quarantine in Ecuador.

Given the concern generated by the Brazilian variation of the virus, The Government of Ecuador has ordered an update to the protocols and guidelines for entering the country by air.

In this way, It has been indicated that since 8 april 2021, all passengers arriving from Brazil, Whether as a point of origin or just as a stopover or transit, they must quarantine upon arrival in Ecuador for 10 days as indicated:

1. Have the Ministry of Public Health, Ministry of Transport and Public Works, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility, Modify the Guidelines for Entry by air into the country, in the following terms:
   1. All passengers whose point of origin, scale or transit is Brazil and are Ecuadorian residents or citizens, must submit to mandatory quarantine 10 days at home, independent of the result of a diagnostic test for COVID-19.
   2. Incorporate into the guidelines for entering the country by air that, citizens who are not Ecuadorians or residents, whose point of origin, stopover or transit is Brazil, They must carry out their isolation in the accommodations regulated by the Ministries of Tourism and Government that have their respective Registry or operating permit..
   3. Passengers who present full vaccination and arrive from Brazil must not carry out any type of quarantine.
   4. This provision shall take effect from 08 april 2021 a las 23h59.

As for the rest of requirements to enter Ecuador remain unchanged:

• Passengers must present a mandatory RT-PCR or negative antigen test carried out at most 3 days before arrival in the country.
• Too, Passengers will now be able to enter presenting the vaccination card where the application of all doses is verified.
