The government of Peru announced the entry into force of new requirements and measures to entry on international flights. Photo press MTC.
Passengers must present a negative result of an RT-PCR test taken with 72 hours in advance before boarding or an antigen test taken 24 hours before.
The Ministry of Transport and Communications modified the entry requirements to the Peru that must be met by passengers arriving in the country through air transport on international flights. This in order to continue with the prevention measures of the Covid-19.
Among the main modifications is the provision that now every traveler entering Peruvian territory must have:
- Negative antigen test result issued until 24 hours before boarding and no longer 72 hours.
- In the event that the passenger presents the RT-PCR test for Covid -19, the period of having been made with is maintained 72 hours in advance.
- Any of the results must be issued by a health institution in the country of origin.
- in addition, in the case of rescheduling or delay of flights that leads to exceeding the validity of the results of the RT-PCR test or antigen detection test, These will be admitted as long as no more than 24 hours.
- This situation is verified by presenting the two electronic or physical tickets. (initial and reprogramming) or through any document or communication that the airline issues about the flight delay or rescheduling.
The MTC also called on all air transport passengers to respect and comply with health measures in order to protect their health and that of their families., where also a travel requirement to and within Peru is to wear a double mask during the entire transfer process through airway.
