The announcement means that from 6 from December to 2021 at 12:01 am ET all air travelers, regardless of your citizenship or vaccination status, will be required to show a negative pre-departure COVID-19 viral test taken the day before boarding their flight to the United States.
For instance, a passenger whose flight to the United States is any time on a Sunday would need to have a negative test any time on Saturday.

- If you recently recovered from COVID-19, You can travel with documentation of recovery from COVID-19 (that is to say, the positive result of your COVID-19 viral test in a sample taken no more than 90 days before the flight departs from a foreign country and a letter from a licensed health care provider or public health official indicating that you have been cleared to travel).
- Air passengers must also confirm through the declaration form that the information they submit is true.
