Adjusting travel guidelines, USA will change the entry requirements (it really is to be able to board the flights) to this country for passengers from all over the world, aiming to receive only vaccinated travelers.
With the focus of encouraging vaccination, the US government through the CDC – Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has updated the requirements for air travel.
Entry requirements to the United States from November
It is so from the 8 November 2021, passengers must, to more than the entry qualifying immigration documents (visa, passport, ESTA and others), meet the following requirements:
- American travelers, Residents and tourists who wish to enter the United States by air must show proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 before boarding a flight to the United States from a foreign country.
- If you are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19, NO will be allowed to board a flight to the United States, unless you meet the criteria for a CDC exception.
- If the traveler is American or resident and he is not vaccinated, You will be able to travel presenting a negative test carried out maximum 1 day before boarding the flight.

A test marked “invalid” is not acceptable.

What are the exceptions for not presenting proof of vaccination?
- People on diplomatic or official trips from foreign governments
- Children under 18 years
- People with documented medical contraindications to receiving a COVID-19 vaccine
- Participants in Certain COVID-19 Vaccine Trials
- People who have been granted a humanitarian or emergency exception
- People with valid visas [except B-1 visas (business) o B-2 (sightseeing)] who are citizens of a foreign country with limited availability of the COVID-19 vaccine
- Members of the United States Armed Forces or their spouses or children (under 18 years)
- Members of the sea crew traveling on a C-1 and D nonimmigrant visa
- People whose entry is of national interest, as determined by the Secretary of State, the Secretary of Transportation or the Secretary of Homeland Security (or their designees)
What should I submit if I am part of the exceptions?
- Travelers without valid vaccination certificates must complete and submit a negative test performed 1 day before the first scheduled departure time in the flight itinerary.

What type of document is valid as a vaccination certificate?

In what language should the vaccination certificate be?
Airlines must be able to confirm proof of vaccination, review other required information and should determine when translation is necessary for these purposes. If your documents are in a language other than English, you should check with your airline or operator before traveling.
What information should the vaccination certificate have?
- Personal identifiers (As minimum, Full name and date of birth) that match the personal identifiers in the passenger's passport or other travel documents.
- Name of the official source issuing the record (for instance, public health agency, government agency or other licensed vaccine provider)
- Vaccine manufacturer and date (s) vaccination
How are the 14 days of last dose?
- Your last dose must have been administered 14 days before the day you board your flight to the United States.
- You are considered to be fully vaccinated on the day 14 after the vaccination series was completed. For instance, if your last dose was on 1 October, the 15 October would be the first day you meet the requirement of 14 days.
