Airbus presented its new air cargo service using airplanes BelugaST, offering its potential clients oversized cargo transportation coverage.
the new service, Airbus Beluga Transport, will provide customers for a wide variety of sectors, including space sectors, energetic, military, aeronautical, maritime and humanitarian, as a solution to your large load transportation needs.
The first mission took place at the end of 2021 with a delivery from the manufacturing site Airbus Helicopters in Marignane, France, to Kobe in Japan for an undisclosed client. The Beluga #3 stopped to refuel combustible in Warsaw (Poland), Novosibirsk (Russia) and Seoul (Korea).
Phillippe Sabo, Director of ATI and Large Air Transport at Airbus, said:
“The wider cross section of the Beluga will open new markets and new logistical possibilities for customers.”. In the case of loading helicopters - not having to dismantle them first- it really is a plus. In the same way, Larger commercial aircraft engines can be accommodated in a complete configuration..
Airbus BelugaST
Based on the A300-600 design, the five-member BelugaST fleet, which until now has been the backbone of transportation between sites of Airbus of large sections of aircraft, is being replaced by six BelugaXL generation to support the acceleration of production of passenger aircraft Airbus.
Airbus' new Beluga transportation service can address a multitude of potential market applications, as the planes have the world's largest interior cross section of any transport aircraft, accommodating oversized cargo up to 7,1 m wide and 6,7 m high with a weight of up to 40 tons.
In the near future, once Airbus has put the six new BelugaXLs into service, the fully released BelugaST fleet will be delivered to a newly created subsidiary airline with its own Air Operator Certificate (AOC) and personal. Philippe Sabo added:
“The new airline will be flexible and agile to address the needs of external global markets”.
To maximize the responsiveness of the Airbus BelugaST for its target international customer base, New loading techniques and equipment are being developed for the operation. These solutions include an onboard charging charger (O.B.C.L) automated for missions where a loading/unloading platform is not available at the origin or destination airport.

Interesting, When I was little I thought they used them as freighters on an airline, Then I saw that they were for Airbus and I didn't know why they hadn't thought of that and this post reminded me of when I was little.. Good job with the post.
It is a good idea to attack a market dominated by Antonov
