Ultra Air It is the first airline company Colombia to be certified under the most recent edition of the aeronautical regulations, RAC 121, that strengthens the requirements for the operation.
After 26 check flights and an exhaustive audit of administrative processes, technical and operational, ULTRA AIR successfully completed the fourth phase of the certification process before Civil Aeronautics, thus becoming the first and only company in the country to be certified under the most recent RAC regulation. 121, establishing stricter requirements for scheduled and non-scheduled domestic and international operations.
During this phase, Ultra Air satisfactorily demonstrated before the Aerocivil Air Safety Secretariat, its technical and operational capacity upon successfully concluding the audit carried out by the Air Operations inspectors, Airworthiness, Dispatch and Operational Safety of the Special Administrative Unit of Civil Aeronautics. According to the Vice President of Operations, Juan Fernando Arango, The assigned inspectors carried out the required verifications to evaluate the effectiveness and application of the policies, methods, procedures and instructions described in approved documents and manuals, ensuring that Ultra Air complies with Colombian aeronautical standards.
The verification tasks required almost 15.000 work hours: 3.311 TCM (Cockpit Crew), including ongoing training; 1.482 TCP (Cabin Crew of passengers), 141 flight dispatcher hours; 1.088 of Airworthiness personnel; 1.120 virtual training in regulations and 7.758 airport staff training.
“The professionalism and experience demonstrated by the teams from all operational areas such as Crews, Maintenance, Dispatch, Security and Land Operations, and the 26 check flights with our aircraft Airbus A320 HK-5393-X to all destinations that make up the initial routes, allows us to affirm that we are completely ready to start operations and provide a friendly and safe service to all our passengers”, Arango indicated.
With this advance in the process, Ultra Air proceeds to request the sales permit and the provisional operating permit, with which you will soon be able to fly through the Colombian skies.
