On their official social media channels, the company Antonov published an international call for all stakeholders and the aviation community in general to join in the recovery of such an emblematic aircraft, part of the history of human creativity and ingenuity.

Dear citizens of all countries of the world!
Among all transport planes, the AN-225 “Mriya” plane (Dream) by ANTONOV occupies a special place: the largest in terms of payload and second to none in its performances. For more than 30 years of operation on air routes from countries on all continents, the aircraft has proven its unique flight performance and ability to carry oversized cargo that no other cargo aircraft can carry.
The AN-225 has established 240 undefeated world records. In addition to the well-known transport of civil and humanitarian cargo, the AN-225 aircraft has the ability to perform horizontal launches of spacecraft and rockets in flight, transport of certain types of cargo on its fuselage. During 34 years, the AN-225 aircraft has been second to none and has earned the admiration and respect of the entire world.
ANTONOV Company is proud of the successful development of the AN-225 «Mriya» aircraft and wishes to point out that for decades of operation, the appearance of the plane at the airports of Ukraine and abroad constantly and invariably fascinates thousands of aviation professionals and fans. as well as ordinary people from different countries. In fact, the plane has become a legend, a symbol of the highest technical achievements of the world aviation community of the 20th and 21st centuries, a pearl of aeronautical engineering.
in february 2022, a disaster happened. During the aggression against Ukraine, the plane AN-225 «Mriya» was destroyed. This loss surprised the staff of ANTONOV Company, to global aviation community, as well as many customers who used the transport services of the largest aircraft.
Despite the hard times, the ANTONOV team firmly believes that it is necessary to prevent the total and irretrievable loss of the legendary aircraft as one of the symbols of modernity and to begin the revival of the flagship aircraft of transport aviation. There are many reasons for this: design, scientific and technical documentation, and the most important: availability, great wish and inspiration from ANTONOV team. Unfortunately, at a difficult time for Ukraine and the ANTONOV company, there is not enough money to solve this problem.
