Copa Airlines announce a new destination, with flights to Barcelona, Venezuela from city of Panama.
Copa Airlines has just announced the start of its operations in the city of Barcelona, capital of the state of Anzoategui, on Venezuela, from 30 June 2022, expanding the connection options for all people residing in this city or destined for the eastern part of the South American country.
This new route joins the three already operated by the Panamanian airline in the country: Caracas, Maracaibo and Valencia. Hereinafter, Copa Airlines will further strengthen its offer in Venezuela, connecting these four cities to its extensive network of destinations, through the Hub of the Americas®, located at the International Airport of Tocumen, In Panama.
“Copa Airlines expands its offer in the South American country, contributing to the development of trade and tourism in the region. Thus, we reaffirm our commitment to increase connectivity in the countries where we operate, like Venezuela, and offer travelers a wide network of destinations and frequencies in America and the Caribbean”, explains Peter Heilbron, CEO of Copa Airlines.
With the new operation, General José Antonio Anzoátegui International Airport, in Barcelona, it becomes the central axis of connectivity between the east and southeast of the country with the rest of America. Copa Airlines now becomes the best and most convenient way to connect many tourist destinations, economic and industrial sectors of the region for the convenience of Venezuelans and tourists interested in the region.
The new flights Copa Airlines will have three weekly frequencies, on mondays, thursday and saturday, Leaving Panama at 9:42 a. m. (local time) and arriving at General José Antonio Anzoátegui International Airport at 13:23 p. m. (local time). Return flights will depart on the same days from Barcelona at 15:07 (local time), arriving in Panama at 16:46 (local time).
