Turkish Airlines used a special green design applied for its plane that uses eco-friendly biofuel.
With flights to more countries than any other airline, Turkish Airlines started the operation of an aircraft with a special design adorned with green leaves on its Airbus type aircraft 321 with registration TC-JSU that was used in its operation of sustainable fuel.
The global airline operated its first flight with the new themed aircraft to Stockholm with flight TK1795. In line with the effort to lead the widespread use of green fuels, the flight you used biofuels during its operation it was also carried out with the principle of zero waste.

Another special measure was the pillowcases and blankets respectful of nature, that were produced with certified yarns 100% recycled to save water. FSC-certified wooden toys were given away to our invited children.
Regarding the environmentally friendly aircraft, the chairman of the board and executive committee of Turkish Airlines, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Bolat, declared:
“As the national flag carrier of our country, our aircraft with its new design is now in the skies to underline the importance of sustainability for us. With the expression biofuel in our plane, we wish to emphasize the importance of using sustainable aviation fuel, as it is one of the biggest obstacles in the aviation industry's fight against carbon emissions. Therefore, we are supporting biofuel manufacturing efforts and our goal is to increase our flights that use biofuels during their operations”.
The global airline will continue its efforts to reduce its carbon emissions with new generation aircraft added to its already young fleet of 8,5 average age years while planning to add new cities served by operations using biofuels in addition to Stockholm, Oslo, gothenburg, Copenhagen , Paris and London.
