The orange airline continues its expansion plan in the national market, this time with new routes that connect the department of Valle del Cauca with Medellín, Cartagena, Saint Andrew and Saint Martha. The new routes to and from Cali will start operating from 17 June and to celebrate the opening of these, Ultra Air offers tickets at a discount of 50% about the airfare, the final price is subject to VAT, airport taxes and administrative charges, for purchases made between 6 and the 9 of June.

The Medellín – Cali – Medellín and Cali – San Andrés routes – Cali will have seven weekly frequencies from 17 of June, each of which has 125.640 chairs to fly until May 2023. The Cali – Cartagena – Cali route will have four weekly frequencies and 72.00 chairs available, while the route Cali - Santa Marta - Cali that starts from 18 June with 3 weekly frequencies, will have 53.640 chairs available to fly until May 2023.
Commercial Vice President of Ultra Air, John Diego Zapata, announced that as a welcome to these four new routes, the airline launches from today a special discount of the 50% about the airfare, the final price is subject to VAT, airport taxes and administrative charges, for those who buy their tickets from the 6 until the 9 June and travel from 17 June 2022 until the 31 May 2023, on the Cali routes – Medellin, Cali – San Andres and Cali – Cartagena; and from the 18 June 2022 al 30 May 2023 for the Cali route – Santa Marta.

Today we are happy to announce the opening of these four routes that are added to the Cali – Bogotá – Cali route and that connect the Valley region with four important cities in the country.. In this way we advance in our purpose of growing in the national market, bring our ultra-friendly service to more Colombians and continue to offer fair prices”, Indian.
The promotion that applies only to new routes will have 341.000 chairs for sale. To obtain the discount you must select the destination, date and number of passengers and then enter the code CALI (once applied, you will see the CALI label in blue). This applies to the airfare, the final price is subject to VAT, administrative charges and airport tax (OLD) which varies according to the city of origin.
Expansion
Since the start of operations last 23 Ultra Air made its inaugural flight in Colombia and thus becomes the ninth regular airline in the country, Ultra Air has made more than 2.400 domestic flights in which it has mobilized more than 265.000 passengers, for an occupancy percentage of 61% and a market share of 6.5% on the routes on which it operates. The itinerary compliance rate is 98% and punctuality 72%.
The airline has more than 500.000 confirmed reservations for the coming months.

Hi Nicolas, Do you know anything about direct flights Medellin-Quito? Originally Viva Air was going to do it but Avianca plans to buy it, now Ultra Air is starting only with domestic flights and in the future it could have flights to Quito but everything is still via Bogotá.
No news yet on that route, hopefully someone will be encouraged to take it soon, sure that route would work.
