Which is the Boeing 747 oldest still flying? Today I tell you this interesting fact, where age is the least important. Masteruploader's photo
In several installments we have talked about the age of planes and we even review what are the aircraft with more years since its construction still in operation, but today we will talk exclusively about a model plane specific.
When we review the oldest aircraft still in operation, we could see a Boeing 747-100 of the Iranian Air Force, but its current status is unknown and it is not operating, so there is a new leader in this leaderboard.
the boeing 747 oldest still flying
Days ago, Flight Radar 24 publicó un interesante tuit donde hablaba sobre el más nuevo y el más «viejo» Boeing 747, so it seemed very opportune to expand this information.
With 49 years since your first flight, the Boeing 747-E4B with registration 74-0787 es la aeronave de la familia de la «Queen of the Skies» con más años aún operando. Perteneciente al escuadrón del Puesto de Mando Aéreo Avanzado de los Estados Unidos bajo el proyecto «Nightwatch», It is an aircraft capable of maintaining action and control of special operations in complex situations such as war or attacks..
The aircraft is based on the general structure of the Boeing 747-200, specially modified to serve as a forward command post for the highest authority of the USA is able to resist electromagnetic pulses, nuclear and thermal effects, electronic attacks and other secret features. His base of operations is in Omaha, Nebraska.
and the boeing 747 younger?
Just as we talk about the most advanced plane in years, it is also important to check what is the model of this younger aircraft. As we know, the program of 747 is coming to an end in Boeing, so the last planes of this iconic aircraft are rolling off the assembly line with a couple yet to be delivered.
The newest of all is the Boeing 747-8F with registration N860GT, which was delivered new to Atlas Air just the past 2 June 2022.
Did you know you can stay in a Boeing 747? I share this information
Have you ever flown in a 747? tell me in the comments…

I have flown in DC6, DC3, B707, B727, DC8,DC9 DC10; but never on B747, I miss it without having flown on that great plane.

Several years ago at Avianca and I remember when it entered service at 1976, all a great event. But in this life everything passes and it saddens me to see The Queen gradually disappear.
At least as cargo it still has a long way to go.
excellent plane. I flew from Argentina to Brazil and since then it is my favorite plane, although I have never flown in one of them again.
And there are very few left 🙁
And and. Stolen in one 747 of Argentine Airlines, on the emblematic Córdoba route – Miami. Incredible, but real. Year 1993. Unforgettable.
And do you have any memories of the plane, say a magazine or a fork?

I have flown three times. Melbourne – Singapore (TO), New York – London (BA) and London – Havana (V) A floor made real since I was a child. The flights to Australia I completed with an A380 which was another dream and I was able to compare the two beasts in the air. The two excellent experiences although the tourist class will always be the tourist class I'm afraid 🙂
Which of the two you stay?
But it can be an old ship but if its engines are optimal in performance, they may be working
