Arajet, the low-priced Dominican airline, received his third and fourth Boeing 737 MAX 8, called “Jaragua” and “Indigenous Eyes”, at Las Americas International Airport. The modern and new aircraft arrived to strengthen its fleet of aircraft and increase the capacity in seats offered, prior to the start of sales and operations, which is scheduled for the end of August.
Victor Pacheco Mendez, CEO of Arajet, expressed that the airline continues with its philosophy of promoting the importance of the country's main protected areas and reaffirming its commitment to the conservation of the environment and natural resources, with a fleet of aircraft that will save on fuel costs, maintenance and operations, and pass those savings on to customers, while reducing noise pollution.
The president of the airline added that "Arajet continues to develop Dominican aviation by bringing state-of-the-art technology, generating quality jobs, strengthening and facilitating the connection of the country with the world and, in a very special way, raising awareness about the preservation of the country's protected areas and promoting domestic tourism internationally, for the benefit of the sustainability of the country, carrying the names of these areas on the fuselage of our planes”, indicated Pacheco Mendez.
According to Arajet, in less than a month the first destinations where the airline will be operating will be reported, although he anticipated that some of these destinations will be important cities in the Caribbean, Mexico, Salvador, Guatemala and Colombia. In this sense, Arajet is scheduled to start selling air tickets by the end of August.
Arajet, that already has the certificate of the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation (IDAC) that allows you to start operations, is finalizing the process of obtaining the corresponding permits to start operations at the end of August.
The Boeing 737 MAX 8, Jaragua and Indigenous Eyes, each with a configuration 185 seating, landed on Dominican soil coming directly from the Boeing factory in Seattle, USA, and next to Pico Duarte and Valle Nuevo, continue to increase the capacity and fleet of Arajet, that is getting ready for its release to the market and offer lower prices to all your passengers, a reliable and world-class service, and convert Santo Domingo into the Caribbean Hub that will allow a better connection between the Americas.
