Wingo increases its operational footprint from the José María Córdova
Added to the launch of these two routes to the Caribbean is the increase in capacity on the Medellín – Panama route, that as of October 2022 will go from seven weekly frequencies to having ten flights per week. This increase in the airline's operation is due to the allocation of a new Boeing aircraft 737-800 Next Generation, with capacity for 186 passengers, which will have as its base of operations this airport that serves Medellin.
What's more, It is important to add that said increase in the operation allows the airline to add its hiring of pilots, cabin crew and maintenance technicians at this base of operations, with what it contributes to the consolidation of eastern Antioquia as a center of talent specialized in aviation and as a benchmark for Colombia and Latin America.
