Wingo announces a powerful increase in flights for the high season holiday travel, which officially starts this Saturday 4 June and runs until the end of August.
The airline will make available more than 81 thousand additional chairs, represented in 435 flights distributed between June and August.
Wingo increases flights in high season

We have put at your disposal more than 430 flights to a dozen destinations in Latin America so that you can enjoy the best beaches in the Caribbean, the landscapes of the Andes and the purest nature of Central America. We will continue on our route to offer a cool service, punctual and at low prices that are within everyone's reach", said Jorge Jimenez, Director General (e) by Wingo.
The airline will implement such capacity expansion in 15 routes, two national and thirteen international, to continue positioning itself as the Colombian low cost with the most powerful network of routes in travel options abroad.
More seats to fly to the Caribbean
Aruba, Cancun and Dominican Republic now they will be closer to the Colombians. On the Bogotá-Aruba route, there will be an increase in 44% in the offered capacity. For his part, travelers who want to enjoy the beaches of Cancun, now they will have 10.788 extra seats, which represent a growth of 19%. These flights to this Mexican paradise will be offered from Medellín and Bogotá.
On the other hand, the airline will offer 18.972 extra chairs between Colombia and Dominican Republic, by growing its capacity in this market in a 26%. These increases will be distributed among the routes that connect Bogota and Medellin with Santo Domingo and Punta Cana.
New flights to enjoy Ecuador and Costa Rica
For travelers who love nature and the attractions of the Andes, Wingo will offer additional journeys to Saint Joseph, Quito and Guayaquil from Bogota. To delight in the capital of Costa Rica, capacity will be increased by 31%. from the other side, to visit Ecuador, the airline will add a 33% more than chairs to Quito and a 27% Additional on flights to Guayaquil.
15% more than chairs to visit Panama
Wingo will have additional seats on the routes that connect Panama City with Bogotá, Cartagena and Medellin. The airline has put 13.518 seats on these three routes, thus generating an increase in 15% in the offer available. Thus, air traffic between Colombia and Panama, which has historically been one of the international connections with the highest flow of travelers.
More options to fly to Cartagena and Santa Marta
For those tourists who want to enjoy their vacations in the paradisiacal national beaches, Wingo also thought of them and will have additional flights to these two cities in the Colombian Caribbean. For Cartagena there will be 12.804 additional chairs from Bogotá, with an increase of 26%, and for Santa Marta there will be an additional offer from 11% on flights.
