Ecuador reduces the EcoDelta, for now only in some airports, those administered by the DGAC or municipalities.

  1. New international airlines that enter Ecuador for the first time and fly internationally to airports that are managed by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation; and, those who have been delegated to the local administration and have not granted concessions to a private.
  2. International airlines currently operating in Ecuador, and that they open a new international route with new frequencies to the airports that are administered by the General Directorate of Civil Aviation; and, those who have been delegated to the local administration and have not granted concessions to a private.

Airlines that currently maintain a route and frequencies to the country will not be eligible for this benefit.; and, change said route to a new airport that has this benefit.

Which airports benefit?

Being a benefit for international flights, at the moment this would be effective only in the airports of Manta and Latacunga, with the potential that Cuenca, in case of becoming an international airport, would also apply to this reduction.

The intention is known Copa Airlines to fly to Manta, although everything will depend on the market and on the completion of the implementation of the new airport infrastructure.

In the case of Latacunga, at the moment there is no intention of any airline to fly in regular passenger operation that is publicly known.
