Today we review, and update, the list of airlines and international flights that are currently operating Ecuador period 2022 a 2023.
We are finally coming out of a major crisis caused by the pandemic and the recovery is advancing steadily. In this context, in Ecuador we have recently had some good news about the arrival of new airlines and the increase in frequencies or capacity of those that already operate..
Although there are still some companies that operated before the pandemic such as Air France, GOAL O Air Canada, plus others like Tame EP that disappeared and that offered routes that others did not, plus other direct flights that had managed to open the 2019, the outlook is positive.

The main novelties for the first quarter of this 2023 is the start of Avianca flights to Medellín and Cartagena from Guayaquil (both routes suspended from the 15 of August) plus the route to Medellín, Cancun and New York from Quito.
It is expected to be a busy year with announcements of Equair at the start of international routes, as well as LATAM Ecuador that we can expect a reinforcement of its operation to Bogota, Miami and a potential return to New York.
Any additional news, I will keep you informed as always.
What route would you like to see return or be inaugurated??

We could expect new American airlines and destinations with the open-close agreement already signed with the United States?
Completely, but it seems to me that something is still missing for this agreement to work.
Hello there
What news is there of low cost airlines that were interested in flying from Chile to Ecuador?, call them Sky or Smarjet ?
Flights will resume from Mexico City and Cancun to Guayaquil ?
Greetings
JIMMY
There are rumors of JetSmart and Sky, both are advancing, but nothing concrete yet. From Mexico – Guayaquil I still do not see any clear intention.
I hope Air France returns and some other European airline like Tap
Lufthansa would be great
