Arajet, the dominican low cost airline, continues its expansion with the request for new routes from its base in the Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ). These potential new routes will connect Punta Cana with 19 destinations in South America, Central America and the Caribe, offering passengers more travel options at affordable prices.
The routes that Arajet can fly from Punta Cana
Once these are approved by the governing body, Arajet will seek to connect to exactly the same routes that it currently operates from the Santo Domingo International Airport, capital of Dominican Republic.
The proposed new routes include:

- Punta Cana (MDPC)/Aruba (TNCA)/Punta Cana (MDPC);
- Punta Cana (MDPC)/São Paulo (SBGR)/Punta Cana (MDPC);
- Punta Cana (MDPC/Montreal (CYUL)/Punta Cana (MDPC);
- Punta Cana (MDPC)/Toronto (CYYZ)/Punta Cana (MDPC);
- Punta Cana (MDPC)/Santiago de Chile (SCEL)/Punta Cana (MDPC);
- Punta Cana (MDPC)/Bogota (SKBO)/Punta Cana (MDPC);
- Punta Cana (MDPC)/Medellin (NOW)/Punta Cana (MDPC);
- Punta Cana (MDPC)/Cartagena (SKCG)/Punta Cana (MDPC);

The new routes are subject to approval by the aeronautical authorities of the respective countries.. Flights are expected to begin operating from November 2024.
This expansion is part of the plan Arajet to become the leading low-cost airline in the Caribe. The airline has received a great reception since its launch in October 2022, and has already transported more than 1 million passengers.
With these new routes, Arajet will offer passengers even more travel options at affordable prices. The airline hopes to continue growing in the coming years and become a leading airline in the region with the arrival of new aircraft and the expected launch of flights to the USA, which will further stimulate demand on its different routes.
