Today I am going to share with you some tips and recommendations for when you visit the Super Nintendo World in Universal Hollywood Studios de The Angels.
Are you a fan of Mario Bros like me and have you always dreamed of entering their video games?? Well, I tell you that in the Super Nintendo World you can make this dream come true.. In SNW it is one more attraction and currently the most in demand, inside the Universal Studios Hollywood theme park in The Angels, here where you can immerse yourself in the world of Mario, Luigi and his friends.
During the IPW 2024 I was able to visit Universal Studios Hollywood and without a doubt it was a very special opportunity for me., since years ago I wanted to visit the Super Nintendo World that first opened in Japan (obviously) and that just the 17 February 2023 came to The Angels.

Let's get into the matter, this dream that activates your inner child as it makes you remember the hundreds, not to mention thousands of hours we spent playing Mario and all the different Nintendo games, It is something you should do at least once and the idea of this publication is for you to know how to get the most out of your visit..

First we must understand that the SNW is not an individual attraction that you can visit separately from Universal, so to be able to access here you must pay the general admission to the park that goes since the $109 per person, I recommend buying in advance to avoid having to pay more and since the daily entry quotas are limited, you don't want to be left out.
Having said that, Now we can enjoy Nintendo World and we will continue reviewing recommendations. Apart from the full value that we must pay to enter the Universal park, there is an additional option that only cuesta $20 dollars per person. I am referring to Early Access that you can pay to enter 1 hour before the general public and be able to enjoy almost alone, the SNW.
I recommend opting for this option if your budget allows it., since they will have more hours to play the different games and reserve entry to the ToadStool Cafe before others, I will tell you what it is about below.. If you cannot pay the advance deposit, quiet, that you can be punctual at 10 am (most common hours of operation) and have a great time anyway.
In the SNW there are many things to do, but a lot will depend on your budget and I'll tell you what I mean.. If you want to enjoy the world of Nintendo and play basic games like Mario Kart and most people go for that :D, You will not have to pay more than the basic entrance to Universal, but there are other adventures that are unlocked with an APP, but also buying a band that allows you to collect coins on your way through the attraction and if you achieve it, you will have an additional game with Baby Bowser, but to do it you will have to pay $44 additional for that watch band.
I, personally, I didn't do it since I didn't want to spend the whole day on Nintendo, I also wanted to go to the rest of Universal which is also very entertaining, so if you want to spend more hours here and the budget gives, you must buy the band and make all the extra games.
What can you do at Super Nintendo World?
In addition to what was mentioned, I am going to list all the adventures that can be done around the different characters:
- Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge: Tour the Mushroom Kingdom in an exciting kart race against Bowser himself, the game is a bit confusing at the beginning, but the idea is to make the most coins by shooting shells at the opposing team.
- Interactive Experiences: Hit blocks, Collect coins and earn rewards in different mini-games throughout the park.
- Encounters with Characters: You can say hello and take photos with Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Toad and many more.
- Toadstool Cafe: Enjoy delicious dishes inspired by Nintendo video games at the themed restaurant such as Toadstool Cafe, but to do so you must reserve your table in advance. Upon entering the SNW you will find a QR code that you must scan and register your reservation with the number of guests. Yes indeed, the entry time that you find available, It will be the only one you can enter and once inside, The wait to place the order could be 20 minutes for the line and number of people at that time.
- Shopping: Find souvenirs, clothing, plushies and unique items from Super Nintendo World at stores like 1-Up Shop.
General recommendations
- Buy your tickets in advance: Especially if you travel in high season, I recommend you buy your tickets online to avoid lines.
- Express Pass: If you are going to Universal too, not just Nintendo World, I recommend spending more for the Express Pass, allowing you to enjoy shorter lines for all supported attractions (Express does not apply to Nintendo).
- Download the Universal Studios Hollywood app: The app allows you to see the wait times for attractions, buy food and book experiences.
- arrive early: The park opens at 10:00 am, and if you arrive early you can enjoy the attractions with fewer people.
- Use with Power Up Band: This bracelet allows you to interact with the elements of the park, earn points and unlock rewards.
- Take breaks: The park is large and there is a lot to see and do, so take your time and enjoy the experience.
- Bring water and sunscreen, since it is outdoors most of the time.
