From next March, LATAM Ecuador will operate two weekly frequencies direct between Cuenca and Baltra on Galapagos, tickets are already on sale.
Finally, and after obtaining two more frequencies to fly towards Galapagos on 2024 and after obtaining all government authorizations and the Government of Galapagos, in november 2025LATAM Ecuador put up for sale what will be its newest national route in Ecuador. From the 31 March March 2026 and with two weekly frequencies the Ecuadorian airline will operate triangulation: Cuenca – Quito – Baltra – Cuenca.

With two weekly flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays, LATAM Ecuador this new route will operate, which will connect to Baltra and Cuenca for the first time in history directly on the same flight, allowing to connect two of the most important tourist destinations in the country in a single operation.
After management carried out by the airline itself, CORPAC and other state entities, This route was expected and announced months ago., is now a reality, providing an unprecedented connection in the country, demonstrating that there are still new markets that can be exploited and analyzed by airlines.
Schedules and frequencies
The flights that will operate with two weekly flights, They will have the following schedules:
- Flight LNE1404 takes off from Cuenca at 07:38 am and lands in Quito at 08:27 am with a duration of 49 minutes.
- Stopover at Quito Airport 37 minutes without plane change
- Total travel time: 3 hours and 32 minutes
- Flight LNE1404 takes off from Quito at 09:04 am and lands in Baltra at 10:10 am behind 2 hours and 6 flight minutes.
For the direct flight from Baltra a Cuenca which will be without technical scale, The operation will be as follows:
- Flight LNE1409 takes off from Baltra at 11:07 am and lands back in Cuenca at 1:59 pm with a duration of 1 hour and 52 minutes.
All these flights will be operated on Airbus A319 aircraft with capacity for 144 passengers.

The tickets, which are already on sale on the airline's official channels, can be purchased from $310 round trip with fees and taxes included, with a personal item.
