The Brazilian airline GOAL announced the arrival of intercontinental aircraft Airbus A330neo and new routes to strengthen its international expansion.

GOL Airlines, the most punctual airline in Brazil, announced today an important milestone in its history: the incorporation of up to 5 Airbus A330-900 aircraft, wide-body aircraft with capacity for approximately 300 seats and even 15 range hours. The aircraft will be gradually integrated into the fleet between 2026 and 2027, and will allow the Company to operate intercontinental flights.

GOL confirms what has been confirmed: Airbus A330neo

"In 2026, year in which GOL turns 25 years of history, The arrival of planes of this size will allow us to fly even further. GOL is a proudly Brazilian company, which was born with the purpose of 'Being First for All', democratizing access to aviation. Now we have reached the maturity to also become a global airline, with premium services, new seating categories and renewed onboard experiences for our customers. A) Yes, “We will connect Brazil more with the world and allow more people to discover the beauties of our country.”, said Celso Ferrer, GOL CEO.

The decision to allocate the aircraft recently incorporated by the Abra Group to GOL aims to strengthen the Company's international expansion strategy.. “The Abra Group was born with the purpose of expanding access to aviation, further connecting Latin America with the world. With the new A330-900 operated by GOL, we will explore long-range markets from Brazil, which is highly strategic for Abra. “We become even stronger by offering new route options so that our customers can take advantage of greater opportunities within our Group companies.”, Adrian Neuhauser highlighted, CEO of Abra Group.

New fleet, same focus on efficiency

with the aircraft Airbus A330-900, GOAL remains aligned with the pillars of its five-year growth plan, that contemplates the expansion of its fleet with models of better performance and greater operational efficiency. in addition, The strategy takes advantage of synergies with Avianca and Wamos, which are part of the same Group and already operate Airbus aircraft, in all stages of management and maintenance of these new assets.

The A330-900 provides GOL with the highest possible profitability in the wide-body aircraft segment. Delivering significant fuel savings per seat compared to previous generation models, allows the Company to expand its international operations while maintaining its commitment to low operating costs and fewer C02 emissions.

Fleet features award-winning Airspace cabin, that provides greater comfort to the passenger and flexibility to offer a premium experience in business class, while maintaining an efficient configuration that guarantees profitability. Improved experience includes more individual space, inflight entertainment systems, Larger overhead compartments for more luggage capacity and a quieter cabin. All of this is complemented by a state-of-the-art lighting system designed to reduce jet lag..

Operation Wamos

Along with the aircraft that will be incorporated into the GOL fleet, the company also announces an ACMI operation (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance and Insurance) with aircraft from the partner company Wamos, which is also part of the Open Group. This solution will be implemented on some routes as a way to expand capacity in an agile manner, meet demand peaks and guarantee greater efficiency and flexibility in intercontinental operation.

GOL has officially announced the route between Galeão (GIG) and new york (JFK) with A330 aircraft. The flights will begin on 8 of July.

Nevertheless, there is a small condition: due to delay, These flights will be operated by Wamos, with an A330-200 with a configuration of up to 280 passengers (260 in economy class configuration 2-4-2 and 20 in business class configuration 1-2-1).
